About the Department
NITI Aayog Chair (erstwhile Planning Commission Chair) was established in 1995 by the then Planning Commission of India. The C hair has been carrying out various research and academic activities such as Projects and Studies on Rajasthan, writing of research papers, organizing conferences/seminars, and panel discussions on issues related to planning and development. The Chair also provides internship to students who are interested in research. In order to provide guidance to the work and management of the unit, the Chair has a National Advisory Committee constituted by the NITI Aayog, New Delhi. The Advisory Committee meets at least once every year and reviews the activities of the unit in the previous year and plans activities for the next year. The Chair has a library of its own with a collection of books, journals, research studies, and reports. An annual report of activities of the unit is furnished to the NITI Aayog, New Delhi. The academic work of the Chair is accomplished by the team of faculty members, project fe low/ research assistant and students. .
