Currently, work is underway on proposed project for evaluating the role of MSME eco- system towards women empowerment in Rajasthan. Objective of this study is to identify gaps in MSME related policy implementation in Rajasthan, especially vis-a-vis the promotion of women entrepreneurship. Women entrepreneurship is still very low in Rajasthan, which needs greater attention to ensure enhanced socioeconomic security for women through engagement as MSME entrepreneurs. Rajasthan is a state where motivation among women towards entrepreneurship is very low in rural and sub-urban localities. This analysis will lead to identification of bottlenecks and suggest future strategy to open up more opportunity in MSME sector for women in Rajasthan to achieve goal of "Viksit Bharat @ 2047".

Recently, University of Rajasthan has been designated as the Lead Knowledge Institution (LKI) for Rajasthan by the Honble Chief Minister, Government of Rajasthan. LKI has been assigned a pivotal role as a Key Knowledge partner of the recently constituted Rajasthan Institute of Transformation and Innovation (RITI) under the State Support Mission of NITI AAYOG. Director of NITI AAYOG Chair has been entrusted the task of Nodal Officer for coordinating with the Government of Rajasthan to formalize institutional support to RITI.

Action Plan for State Support Mission of NITI AAYOG, Government of India as adopted by the Government of Rajasthan and envisaged for the Lead Knowledge Institute (LKI) is being prepared by the NITI AAYOG CHAIR. Action Plan aims to support activities during the year 2024-25 to bring the expertise of other institutions in the state of Rajasthan by way of institutional collaboration to assist the state government in fulfillment this endeavor.

Action plan for the year 2024-25 proposes to organize two state level and 10 divisional level workshops across the state of Rajasthan in coordination with RITI. It also proposes to undertake the Research studies and other activities during the year 2024-25, which shall be focused primarily on the eight sectors being prioritized under State Support Mission of NITI AAYOG, GOI.

In addition, NITI AAYOG CHAIR has plans to organize conference/seminar/ invited lectures/webinars with participation from the stakeholders, eminent economist/strategists of the country covering a wider spectrum of issues pertaining to the Indian Economy/Economy of Rajasthan with a perspective on "VIKSIT BHARAT-VIKSIT RAJASTHAN @2047".
