CONFERENCE on "Strategic initiative for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) in Rajasthan".
Speaking as the Chief Guest Sh. Yaduvendra Mathur, IAS, formerly Secretary Government of India (NITI AAYOG) called upon the youth to upgrade their skill sets for data collection and analytics at the granular level for delivering on SDGs. He hoped that the strategic initiatives taken by all partners would ensure Rajasthan becomes an "achiever state" at the earliest.
Director of NITI AAYOG CHAIR Dr Anshu Bhardwaj, pointed out the need for greater emphasis on the women and child care, quality education and health for all, to ensure that a better outcome is achieved on the parameters of SDGs for Rajasthan.
Sh. Vinesh Singhvi, Director of Economic & Statistics Department, Government of Rajasthan, revealed that Rajasthan shows maximum improvement in Goal 7 (Affordable Clean Energy), achieving 100 score.
PANEL DISCUSSION on theme of "VIKSIT BHARAT VIKSIT RAJASTHAN@2047" to inculcate a symbiotic relationship between the academia and industrial leaders for establishing a cross-sectoral partnership.
Panelist Prof Vinish Kumar Kathuria, Director of Institute of Development Studies, pointed out that a holistic approach is required to sync the development of Rajasthan with that of the India to become a developed state.
Vice President of the Rajasthan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Sh. Gyan Prakash emphasized that small and micro industries and skilling the youth especially in the rural areas have a significant role to contribute in achieving the objective of VIKSIT RAJASTHAN @ 2047.
Director of NITI AAYOG CHAIR, Dr Anshu Bhardwaj said that in order to achieve the desired goal of a developed Rajasthan by the year 2047, we shall make serious efforts for fast-paced development of essential sectors of education, health, rail, road, energy, water etc. Rajasthan government shall work for ensuring the multi- sectoral development of MSME and Heavy industries, infrastructure framework, mines, and tourism among others.
