AMENDED ORDINANCES RELATING TO B.Sc. NURSING
O. 299-V-1
The courses of study for B.Sc.Nursing in Part-I and Part-III (Trained & Registered Nurses) in servies shall be opened to both male and female candidates. The total number of admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Part-I will not be more than forty at College of Nursing Jaipur every year. The total number of admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Part-III (Trained & Registered Nurse) in service will not be more than 26 at College of Nirsing, Jaipur. The percentage of female candidates shall not fall below 50% of the total seats.

The courses of study leading to the B.Sc. Nursing Degree shall consist of four academin Nursing year i.e. Part-I, Part-II,Part-III,Part-IV and two academic year Part-III and Part-IV for Trained & Registered inservice candidates.
O. 299-V-3
Candidates must have completed the age of 17 years but not completed 28 yerar in case of female and 25 year in case of male at the time of admission on 31st December of the year of admission and must have passed the Senior Secondary examination (Science) conducted bya statutory Board at the end of 12 years study under 10+2 pattern of the Secondary Education or any other examination recognised by the University of Rajasthan as equivalent in all the compulsory subject and the optional subject of the Medical group (Physics,Chemistry and Biology) including English as one of the compulsory subject on the last date of submission of application form with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for natural born scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates) in aggregate of English and Science subjects (Physics,Chemistrt and Biology) taken together at the qualifying examination.
Notes:
- 15% of the total seats will be filled up by the candidates on all India basis 8% & 6% of 15% will be reserved for Scheduled Casted and Scheduled Tride respectively. The percentage of female candidates in general and reserved category shall be as laid down in O. 299-V-1.
- 85% of the total will be filled up by the Bonafied candidates of Rajasthan. The candidates must have studied for the last three years of the qualifying examination continuously as regular candidates in recognised institution in Rajasthan. Natural Father/Mother of the candidates has continuously resided in Rajasthan for period of last 10 years candidate has studied for atleast 5 years in a recognised education institution in Rajasthan.
The candidate is Son/Daughter of a serving of retired employee of (a) Government of Rajasthan including Officer of all Indian Service born on the State Cadre of Rajasthanof (b) Undertaking/Corporation bodies duly constituted by Govt. of Rajasthan by an act of law and (Rajasthan) provided than provided that employee has put last date of or submission application in the office for admission.
Candidates is a Son/Daughter of permanent employee of India defense service and the employee is either of Rajasthan origirrespective of his place of posting in Rajasthan at the time of last date of the application for admission provided than in case of Defen personnel from the employer to the effect.
That his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry in service.
- 8% of the total seats are reserved for natural born candidate )not adopted) belong to S.C. as notified in the Prestidential orderforState of Rajasthan. The distribution of seats of S.C. Males and S.C. Fetnales are specifed vide ).299-V-1.
- 6% of the total seats are reserved for natural born candidate )not adopted) belonging to S.T. as notifled in the Presidential order for the State of Rajasthan. The disterbution of seats for S.T. Male and S.T. Females are specified vide O. 299-V-1.
- In case the reserve seats are not filled in a particular categor unfilled seats will be transferred to genral seats.

(ii) A candidate who after passing the General Nursing Course and Registered Nurse with a recognised body (State Nursing Course having a minimum of five (5) years regular nursing experience on the last date of receiving of application and passed the Senior Secondary examination (Science) conducted by a Statutory Board at the end of years study under 10+2 pattern of the secondary education or other examination recognised by the University of Rajasthan equivalent in the compulsory subjects and the optional subjects of medical group (physics,Chemistry and Biology) is also eligible for admission to B.Sc. Nursing Part-III Examination of on producing N.O.C. from State Govt.
Their merit will be calculate on the basis of marks obtained in General Nursing Course examination together with one bonus mark of every 2 years of completed services in nurisng exceeding than five years of completed age forth years on or before 31st December of year of his admission.

A candidate who has completed the regular course of studies for one academic year shall be eligible for B.Sc. Nursing Part-I examination.

A candidate who has passed B.Sc. Nursing Part-1 examination and has completed the regular course of studies for one acadamic year will be admitted to B.Sc. Nursing -II Course and shall eligble for B.Sc. Nuesing Part-2 Examination.
OR
A Canditae who has Failed in any two Subjects/papers
will also be admitted to the B.Sc. Nursing part-II Course and shall also be eligible for examination to B.Sc. Nursing part-II. The result of examination Of B.Sc. Nursing part-II will be cept with-held and declared only when the candidate has passed all the papers of B.Sc. Nursing Part-1 examination.
there shall be two examination in one acadmic year , the main and the subsequent examinationn with in a period 4-6 months for the remanded candidates.

A Candidate who has passed B.Sc. Nursing Part-II examination and has completed the regular course of study for one acadmic year will be admitted to B.Sc. Nursing Part-III course and shall be eligble for B.Sc. Nursing Part-III examinations.
OR
A Candidate who has failed in any two papers will be also admittes to the B.Sc. Nursing Part-III course and shall also be eligble for examinations of B.Sc. Nursing Part-III. The result of examinatin of B.Sc. Nursing Part-III will be kept withheld and declared only when the candidate passes all the papers of B.Sc. Nursing Pt.II examinations.

A Candidate who has passed the B.S.c. Nursing Part-III examination and has completed the regular course of study for one year academic year will be admitted to the B.Sc. Nursing Pt.IV course and shall be eligible for B.Sc. Nursing Part-IVth Examination.

A Candidate who has failed in any two papers(two theory or two practicals or one theory or one practical) will also be admitted to the B.Sc. Nursing Part -IV course and shall be eligble for B.Sc. Nursing Part-IV will be kept withheld and delared only when the candidate passes all the papers of B.Sc. Nuesing Part-III.

A Candidate failing in more than two Subjects/papers will be declared as failed and shall not be promoted to the next higher class of B.Sc. Nursing Pt--II,PtIII and pt IV. A candidate who failed to pass B.Sc. Nursing PtI examination in four attempts shall not be allowed to countinue their studies in the college.

Required percentage of attendance for appearing in any subjects/papers of B.Sc. Nursing Pt.I,Pt.II,Pt.III and Pt.IVth shall be 75% of the total prescribed theory lectures and 90% of the total prescribed clinical experience hours.

The examination shall be condected by means of written papers and viva voce and practical examination. Candidate shall be required to pass separately in written and practical examination . No examination is suggested for the paper Elective for practical examinations there shall be two examiners one internal and one External.

The Minimum pass Marks for any subjects /papers/sections are fifty Percent(50%) of the total marks prescribed for that subject/paper/section except for the qualifying subjects viz., General English and General Hindi/Elemetary Hindi in lieu of General Hindi the minimum pass marks are thirty six percent of the prescribed total marks.

Twenty percent(20%) of the total marks prescribed in the theory and practical papers/section in any subjects shall be allotted for the peridical assessment (Internal assessment).

- Candidate who failed at the examination(failed in more than two papers are required to reappear at the examination in all papers for which they should be re-join the classes from the beginning of the session.
- The Candidate who has failed at the B.Sc. Nursing Part-III Examination being in service candidate will be required to obtain permission from the appointing authority, for further study otherwise such candidates will be received from the college because the training will not be completed with in two years.
- A Candidate who has obtain 75% of above will be declared having distinction in the subjects. In all main subjects both theory and practical the minimum pass marks shall be 50% whereas in a qualifying subject minimum pass marks shall be 36%.

- . The Course contents and scheme of examination of paper-1 and Paper-2 will be of B.Sc. (Part-I) syllabus in force.
- . A Candidate who has already cleared the subjects of General English and General Hindi prescribed for the B.Sc.(Nursing) Part-I Examination of the University be exempted from appearing in the Language subjects viz. English(General) & Hindi(compulsory) prescribed for B.Sc. (Nursing) Part-I Examination of the University.
- . A Candidate failing in the language paper of English or Hindi or both at the B.Sc. (Nursing) Part-I Examination will be allowes to continue his studies. A Candidate shall be given only two more chances at the following subsequent and main Examination to clear the due General Hindi and General English subject(s). Inability to avail a chance shall be treated as failure. A Candidate General Hindi in the above chances. shall be required to reappear at the First Year Examination.
- . Candidates migrating from Non-Hindi speaking region who have not passed the qualifying Examination or an Examination recognised as equivalent with Hindi as Optional Subjects or a Candidate who has Studied Hindi or an Elmentary standard only in English School throughout their career may be allowed to offer Elementary Hindi in lieu of General Hindi.
