A candidate who are passing the Bachelor's Degree Examination of the University or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent there to has been declared successfula t the audition test gives by the department/Institution concerned and has there after pursued a full time regular course study for one academic year with atlest 75% attendnce in the University shall be eligible to appear at the examination for P.G. Diploma in Dramtics (Bridge course).
1. Explanations:
(a) Audition Test: Audition test shall be conducted by a panel of atleast 5 experts 2 internal amongst the panel prepared by the staff council) consisting eminent experts in the field of theatre. T.V., AIR, etc. inorder to select a group of maximum 25 candidated amongst the applicants on the basis of merit for the admission to one year P.G. Diploma Course in dramatics. 5 seats are reserved for female candidates only.
The Audition Test shall be conduced on the basis of applocant's aptitude for acting. speech,and sense of rhythm, music and general awareness for theatre through aural, given exercise and/ofr in writter forms. The merit list shall be prepared in the basis of average of marking by each expert out of 100 marks divided as hereunder:-
A. Acting-20 B. Speech-20 C. Sense of rhythum-20
D. Sense of Music-20 E. general Awareness-20
Only those applicants shall be allowed to appear in the Audition Test who have obtained minimum 40% marks in the Pre-audition written Test to be taken by the department/Institution concerned, separately.
The staff council shall decide modalities of this test. However,the staff Conucil may also consider the necessary relaxation in the Pre-audition-Written Test,if required.
(b) Audition Test fee: An applicant shall be required to pay an Audition Test Fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only), along with the cost of Prospectus and Applocation from published by the departmant separately.
(c) There is no reservation for the physically handicapped applicant in One-Year P/G. Diploma course in Dramatics

Examination Scheme

There shall be 4 papers. each carrying 100 marks (see classification). for the Practical examination of Paper-IV. the play produced during the session shall be staged according to the timetable for examination for assessment.
Classification :
(a) Paper-I and II are shall be divided into two parts. Section-A shall have the objective type questions with mlltiple choice answer alternative answers to be given, out of which a student will be ex to tick one) each carrying one mark.
(b) Section-B of Part-I shall consist very short questions expecting of maximum 20 words. each carrying two marks.
(c) Part-II shall consist six questions, out of which student shall questions carrying equal marks.
(d) Part-I shall be of 40% marks and Part-II of 60% marks.
Successful candidates shall be classified in the following categories:
(a) Pass-50% and above but less than 60% marks.
(b) Pass with credit-60% and above but less than 80% marks.
(c) Pass with Honours-80% and above marks.

h. Study of any tow of the following plays, one from each group vemphasis on the study of the structure of the play:-
Group-I : 1. Oedipus rex-by Sophoclese. 2. Mrichh Katikam-by Shudark 3. Yahusi Ki Ladki-by Aga hashra Kashmiri
Group-II : 1. Adhe Adhure-by Mohan Rakesh 2. Audha Yug-by Dharamvir Bharti 3. Ghasiram Kotwal-by Vijay Tendulkar.

Paper-IV : Production Participation, Work submission and Viva (Practical)

Section A : Production Participation & Viva -60 Marks : 50 Atleast one play shall be produced in the session for assessment. The Director shall make selection of such play with thr approval of the staff committee. How ever the play shall be produced in Hindi only.
Sec. B: Work Submission: 40 Marks: The student shall submit his work related to production Participation in neat and clean manner atleast seven days before the examination for assessment, which shall be marked by the external examiner. All the work submitted for assessment may be returned to the candidata with the permission of the Head of the Department only after the declartion of result.
