The University Computer Centre was established in January, 1986 in the USIC Building with support of UGC With an aim to impart training a vast manpower in the field of computer & its applications in the formal education sector. The university Computer Centre in collaboration with the USIC embarked upon the formal teaching of Certificate Courses in Computer Application in 1987, PG Diploma in Computer Application in 1989 and Master of Computer Application courses in 1990 (first in the Rajasthan State) and M.Sc (IT) in 2001.
The centre is located near Vigyan Bhawan opposite to the Social Science Block and on its rear side University Science Instrumentation Centre is located. The building area of the Centre is approximately 18000 sq. feet. The Centre has well equipped Computer Labs with more then 100 computer & LCD power point projects. It has its own library with more than 12000 reference and text book. It also subscribes various national journals and magazines related to computer science and technology. The Centre has dedicated lease line for internet connectivity through University Infonet Centre.
