Various National and International honours have been conferred upon few members of the Department. Prof.J.L.Bansal(Retd.) got his Dr.rer.net. from Gottingen (Germany) as DAAD Fellow and elected Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India 1986. Prof.A.N.Goyal (Retd.) became a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, London in 1962 and a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India in 1989. Prof.R.C.Chaudhary got Alexander-Von-Humboldt Fellowship to carry out Post-Doctoral research at Defence University, Hamburg (Germany). Prof. N.C.Jain and Dr.A.K.Mathur (Retd.)were selected by the Government of India for a deputation to teach in Nigeria and Iraq respectively. Prof.A.N.Goyal (Retd.)also visited Czech in the UGC sponsored Indo-Czech Cultural Exchange Programme. Late Prof.P.D.Verma, Prof.P.R.Shama and Dr.K.C.Sarangi got DRDO Awards by Defence Ministry, Govt. of India in 1983 for their outstanding research papers. Prof.G.N.Purohit (Retd.) was invited to the First Carribean Conference on Fluid Dynamics held at Port of Spain (West Indies) where he presented a paper and chaired a session on Laminar Flows. Professor J.L.Bansal was elected President of Rajasthan Ganita Parishad in 1989. Prof.G.N.Purohit was elected President of Rajasthan Ganita Parishad for two years in 1996 and 1997. Dr.A.K.Mathur was elected Chief Editor of "Ganita Sandesh", a half yearly journal of Rajasthan Ganita Parishad for three years in 1998, 1999, 2000. Prof. P.R.Sharma got INSA Visiting Fellowship to work in Bio-Mathematics at I.I.T., Mumbai during 1996-97. Prof. Sharma was elected President of the Rajasthan Ganita Parishad for the session 2002-2003 and 2005-2006. Dr.A.K.Mathur was invited to deliver a specialized lecture in the field of Fluid Dynamics at Jiwaji University, Gwalior. Prof. Raj Bali was appointed as Senior Associate of IUCAA at Pune for the period 1997-2000. Prof. Raj Bali was invited to deliver lectures in the Department of Mathematics, Sardar Patel University, Gujarat under UGC Visiting Professor Scheme.

Some staff members of the Department have established a registered research society namely "Rajasthan Academy of Physical Sciences" in the year 2001 and this Academy publishes a quarterly research Journal. Prof.S.P.Goyal is Chief Editor of the Journal, Dr.A.K.Mathur is one of the Managing Editors. Professor R.C.Chaudhary, Professor D.S.Chauhan, Professor Raj Bali and Dr.K.N.Singh are editors of the same journal. Prof. Raj Bali is at present President of the Rajasthan Academy of Physical Sciences.

Dr.B.L.Meena, Lecturer, Government College, Abu Road and Dr.Mukesh Sharma, Lecturer, Chirawa College, Chirawa have been awarded UGC Post-Doctoral research award under Xth Plan to work in the Department of Mathematics in the field of Relativity and Cosmology and Fluid Dynamics respectively. Shri J.P.Pareek, Shri S.S.Dhayal, Shri K.K.Mishra, Sh.G.R.Yadav and (Ms) Alka Rao have been selected for TRF in the Department.
